All appointments have a 15-minute grace period from the starting time of your appointment. If you need to reschedule, please do so within 24 hours before your original appointment starting time. 5. To book after a No call/ No show you will be required to pay a deposit for your next appointment. 6. ALL prices listed are starting prices and are subject to change based on length, texture, and required treatments. Carly Chung-Stowe Owner/Master Stylist Carly Chung-Stowe is a licensed cosmetologist with 29 years of experience and the owner of Textures Beauty Bar. She is a master stylist specializing in precision cutting, custom color, chemical services, and hair repair, with a focused expertise in short hair care. Carly’s journey in the beauty industry began early. Raised in her mother’s hair salon, she was immersed in the art and culture of hair from a young age. Watching women transform not only their appearance but their confidence left a lasting impression. “Enhancing women’s beauty is what makes them feel and look good,” Carly shares. “I remember seeing women leave the salon with a smile and a new level of confidence—it inspired me.” By the age of fourteen, Carly was already working as a shampoo assistant for her mother and experimenting on friends’ hair. After graduating high school, she attended the world-renowned Dudley School of Beauty, where she excelled and earned her cosmetology training and certifications. In 2015, Carly stepped out on faith and opened Textures Beauty Bar, transitioning from a seasoned artist to a business owner with a bold vision. Embracing the challenges of entrepreneurship, she expanded her skills beyond the chair and cultivated a business rooted in excellence, education, and empowerment. “I was going bigger,” says Carly. “Bigger ideas, bigger space, bigger overhead—and bigger dreams.” Today, Textures Beauty Bar is home to eight talented stylists, including Carly herself. Holmes is a Master Stylist at Textures Beauty Bar, proudly celebrating 26 years as a Licensed Professional Cosmetologist. She is a graduate of the Continental School of Beauty and Culture (Class of 2000) and a third-generation stylist, continuing a rich family legacy in the beauty industry. Both her mother and grandmother were respected Master Cosmetologists whose dedication inspired Jeanell from an early age. Jeanell’s journey began in the salon as a child—sweeping floors and laundering towels—while observing her mother’s passion and commitment to excellence. Those early experiences shaped the skilled, well-rounded stylist she is today. Jeanell is known for her versatility and provides a wide range of services, including precision cuts, chemical relaxers, vibrant hair coloring, formal updos, ponytails, crochet styles, brow arching, facial waxing, and eyelash extensions. With over two decades in the industry, Jeanell is deeply committed to continuing education. She has earned Master certifications in cutting and coloring and has trained in cities across the country, including Buffalo, New York, Chicago, New Jersey, and Las Vegas. Saarai Matthews Licensed Cosmetologist Saarai Matthews is a passionate Licensed Cosmetologist and Rochester native dedicated to promoting healthy natural hair care. A lifelong natural hair enthusiast, Saarai has been braiding since childhood and has refined her craft professionally for over six years. She is a proud graduate of the Continental School of Beauty and Culture, where she strengthened her foundation in professional hair care and styling. Recognizing the need for greater education and support around natural hair in Upstate New York, Saarai is committed to helping clients better understand, manage, and celebrate their hair. Her mission is to restore confidence while empowering individuals with the knowledge needed to maintain healthy, beautiful tresses. Saarai specializes in natural styles including braids, twists, locs, coils (finger and comb), and wash-and-go styles. She is known for her gentle styling approach, prioritizing the health, comfort, and integrity of the hair. Saarai believes protective styles can be both neat and beautiful without excessive tension, ensuring clients never have to compromise their hair health for style. With a blend of skill, care, and professionalism, Saarai creates an experience that leaves every client feeling confident, supported, and authentically beautiful. Desmoni Meeks Licensed Cosmetologist Desmoni Meeks, affectionately known as “Nina,” is a talented Licensed Cosmetologist whose passion for beauty began at an early age. As the youngest stylist on the team, Nina has already built an impressive foundation in the industry. She became a self-taught makeup artist at just 12 years old and expanded her talents into hair at the age of 16, demonstrating both ambition and a natural eye for enhancing beauty. After graduating from high school, Nina enrolled in the cosmetology program at REOC, successfully completing her training in 2023. Her dedication and emerging talent were recognized early when she was honored as “Rochester’s Rising Star” at just 16 years old — a reflection of her drive, creativity, and commitment to excellence. Nina specializes in silk presses, quick weaves, pixie cuts, custom color, and professional makeup services. Known for her willingness to embrace new challenges, she continuously invests in her growth and education to better serve her clients and stay at the forefront of beauty trends. With strong entrepreneurial aspirations, Nina plans to one day open her own salon, spa, and nightclub, further expanding her impact within the beauty and business world. Dymond Andrews Hi, I’m Dymond, a hairstylist at Textures Beauty Bar, specializing in natural braiding, protective styles, and extension services for women, men, and children. I began braiding hair at a very young age, and from that first braid, I discovered a passion for creating styles that celebrate natural beauty and individuality. Driven to refine my craft, I am currently enrolled in the cosmetology program at REOC, Class of 2026, where I continue to expand my skills and knowledge. My aim is to provide every client—especially children—with a calm, professional, and time-conscious experience. I focus on healthy hair practices, precision, and styles that are both beautiful and long-lasting. Jaquette Kader Salon Assistant Jay is an upcoming natural hairstylist who started doing hair at 21, in which she graduated from Vision School of Beauty in 2024. As the shampoo assistant to Carly Chung-Stowe, she is dedicated to learning and caring for all hair textures with a focus on healthy growth and strength. At Textures Beauty Bar, Jay loves providing each client with a calming, enjoyable shampoo experience that leaves them feeling refreshed and confident. Jay’s mission is to continue learning and growing at Textures Beauty Bar. She is preparing to specialize in proper takedown services, effective detangling methods, natural updos, and more. Jay is creating a welcoming and safe space where everyone can express themselves confidently through their natural hair. Takoya Hartzog Salon Coordinator Takoya affectionately known as Koya, is the dedicated Salon Coordinator at Textures Beauty Bar. Her journey with the salon began in 2018 as a loyal client, giving her a unique perspective on the guest experience that now shapes the exceptional service she helps deliver every day. Koya oversees daily salon operations with precision and care, ensuring inventory is fully stocked, tools and linens are sanitized, and schedules run seamlessly. From managing stylist calendars to answering calls and booking appointments, she plays a vital role in creating an organized and welcoming environment for both clients and team members. Often the first smile you see when you walk through the doors, Koya is committed to providing professionalism and outstanding customer service.
